Also in the month of May, I got to assist the talented Christopher Gendron with another wedding! Two things that made this one stand out were the beautiful location (Golden Gardens beach in NW Seattle), and that the bride Shiney wore both a “traditional” white dress, as well as a traditional Indian sari for part of the reception. I have always loved the bright clothing of India! They were a very photogenic couple

On April 10th (wow time is flying!) I got to be second-shooter for the talented wedding photographer Christopher Gendron. The day started with getting ready, formals at a park & ceremony in Bellevue; followed by a whirlwind carousel photo-op at the Seattle waterfront; and ended with the reception on an Argosy cruise! It was a fun-filled day and a wonderful kick-off to my wedding season.
As usual, I can’t help but share some highlights:

On a personal note… my parents are driving across the country to see me! You can expect “tourist” photos from our weekend together in Seattle

I interrupt my regularly scheduled program (I’m slacking on uploading Seattle & Scabland photos) for something even more exciting…
My childhood best friend and next-door neighbor, Kate, got married over the weekend. Â And I got to be her wedding photographer! Â The ceremony took place at The First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor, and the reception was across the street at The Lake Forest Golf Club. Â The rainy weather held off just long enough for great photos, but unfortunately, U of M was beaten by State. Â But that didn’t stop it from being a truly wonderful occasion with close friends and family!
Here are just a few of my favorites from the day that I couldn’t wait to post…

Another Saturday spent second-shooting for a friend, this time with Jonathan Clay! The ceremony and reception took place in Muskegon at Berean Church. They had by far the largest wedding party I have photographed yet. But they all contributed great ideas without things getting chaotic! =)  It was fun!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to assist Justin Leveque with another wedding at Historic Bowen Mills in Middleville, MI. I highly recommend this venue to any one out there that’s a sucker for outdoor weddings & antique décor like I am! You can tell from my shots that I love all of the small details that go in to planning a wedding. I also enjoyed Danielle’s self-proclaimed diva poses throughout the day!
